COYA Fine Furniture 定番のダイニングチェアである『Ｓａｉｌ』。名前の由来は、帆船の帆に似た笠木（背もたれ部）の形状から。また、新しい椅子のある新たな生活が、追い風を受けてより良いものになりますように、との願いも込めて。

飛騨産のナラ材を使用し、心地よい背当たり、滑らかな触り心地、曲線美を意識したダイニングチェアとなります。

背当たりの良さをもたらす笠木の曲面は、高山の家具の特徴でもある”曲げ木”で成形されております。

塗装については、木その物の素材感を大切にしたいという思いから、植物由来のオイルで塗装をしております。研磨と塗装を丁寧に返す事で大変滑らかな触り心地となっております。

笠木から後脚にかけての繊細な曲線は、座り心地や背当たりを追求した事で生まれた曲線ではありますが、後ろ側から見られる事の多いダイニングチェアにとって、アピールポイントとなっております。

The “Sail” dining chair is a signature piece from COYA Fine Furniture. The name “Sail” comes from the distinctive shape of the backrest, which resembles the sail of a sailing ship. It also symbolizes our hope that a new chair in your home will bring smooth sailing and a better life.

Crafted from Hida oak, this dining chair is designed with an emphasis on comfort, smooth tactile quality, and the beauty of curved lines.

The curve of the backrest, which provides excellent support, is shaped using the traditional bentwood technique—a hallmark of Takayama furniture craftsmanship.

The finish is applied using plant-derived oils to preserve the natural texture of the wood. The careful process of sanding and oiling results in an exceptionally smooth surface.

The delicate curve from the backrest to the rear legs not only enhances comfort but also serves as a key visual feature, especially since dining chairs are often viewed from behind.
